The Division of Emergency Medicine at Stanford University has been offering a National Symposium on Emergency Medicine and Acute Care since 1994. The meeting is held in Hawaii each spring, and typically rotates between Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island. This highly regarded and successful conference had its 11th conference on Hawaii's Big Island March 30th-April 2nd, 2005 and below are selected outstanding presentations from this conference.
